Network Deployment Engineer

Role: Network Deployment Engineer

Location: South Paris

Start Date : 1 month maximum

Duration : 12 months (3 month rolling contract)

Working Pattern : Hybrid

I am assisting one of France's leading telecoms providers in looking for a competent and motivated Freelance Network Deployment Engineer to join there team in Paris. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment of network projects using Cisco Catalyst equipment, with a particular focus on OSPF and BGP protocols.

The Customer is one of the leaders in their market across the whole of Europe. The scope for work and progression is endless.

Glocomms has a long-standing relationship with the customer having already placed numerous contractors with them.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Implement networking solutions based on Cisco Catalyst devices.
• An example of a recent project was a migration from 3750 to 92xx
• Deploy, configure, and maintain complex network infrastructures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable and reliable network architectures.
• Perform needs assessments, risk analyses, and recommendations to optimize network performance.
• Manage software updates and patches to ensure network security and stability.
• Provide next-level technical support to resolve complex issues.
• Document designs, configurations, and deployment procedures.
• Perform testing and validations to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Experience / Skills Required:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer
• Demonstrated professional experience deploying network projects, preferably with Cisco Catalyst equipment.
• Proficiency in OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of switching and routing concepts.
• Advanced network troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task simultaneously.
• Cisco certification (CCNP) would be an advantage.
