As a very fast growing company, we need skilled and agile people in all areas of battery design and manufacturing.

In this context, we are looking for an Advanced Technology Process Engineer dedicated to wet formulation / mixing for electrode manufacturing.

Their role will be to report to the Advanced Technology Process Manager, develop and industrialise new processes, especially mixing processes up to TRL6 (industrial prototype).

Main Missions:

  • To design and develop electrode manufacturing processes, with a focus on wet mixing for different chemistries.
  • To define key process parameters to achieve targeted properties of the final mix (viscosity, dry content etc.)
  • To characterize each step of the mixing process with relevant analytical methods (Rheology, viscosity, dry content etc.)
  • To elaborate and conduct DOEs / experimental plan to define trends and tendencies between process parameters and product specifications.
  • To closely work with the Coating / Calandering team to ensure efficient process development of the mixing step (KPI, process windows)
  • To closely work with the Simulation Team to develop model of wet mixing from lab scale to giga factory scale.
  • To ensure process scale up in partnership with Process Manufacturing Engineering Team
  • To demonstrate the process economic added value at a Gigafactory scale and to assist the Process Manufacturing Engineering Teams to implement it.
  • To create and develop a network including suppliers, academic institutions and laboratories in order to help running full scale trials
