Description
As Finance Director, you will take responsibility for the financial leadership, direction, and management of Janssen France. The Finance Director leads the Business Unit Finance Team.

This includes the development, execution, management and follow-up of strategies and action plans to maximize the value of our pharmaceutical portfolio over the long term.

In doing so, the Finance Director will also ensure alignment with all stakeholders to develop and implement these plans.

This includes the planning of revenue, allocation of resources, optimizing working capital and the management of the financial risks and opportunities.

The Finance Director also holds statutory responsibility oversight of Janssen-Cilag France. The role will report directly to the EMEA CFO for Janssen.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


Financial Planning & Review -
Lead the financial planning of the business plan, updates, and latest thinking. This includes detailed analysis and scenario thinking, alignment of all parties in France and EMEA and a coordination of the preparation, consolidation, and review of the detailed financial plans- Lead the periodic financial performance reviews & budget variance analysis providing an overview of performance to the Leadership Team (LT) as well as EMEA including drivers of variance and insights into future impacts

  • Actively contribute to commercial decisionmaking processes, including price strategies, target setting and resource allocation
  • Oversee financial valuation of transformation projects and sponsor towards senior leadership
  • Management and execution of business plan commitments including sales, headcount, Opex, Capex, Inventory, DSO, Income, Cashflow.
  • Lead the implementation from the finance function of the J&J transformation projects

Business Partnering -


Strong business partnership with all members of the Janssen France Leadership Team, departmental heads, EMEA counterparts and local cross sector leadership council- Advise on, contribute to and support access agreements, price and clawback negotiations, life science strategy opportunities and local projects to drive access and growth.


  • Constructively challenge business leaders and look for valuecreating growth opportunities
  • External focus and ability to establish connections and impact with outside stakeholders including the industry association Finance Director's forum
  • As a LT member, sponsor strategic and operational projects/processes outside the solid scope of Finance such as Supply Chain Governance,
  • Participate and lead EMEA and xsector initiatives in the finance function
  • Ensure active participation of the Finance Partners in Country Value Teams, Brand Plans, Board Reviews & Strategic Plans
  • Statutory director of Janssen Cilag Ltd

Compliance -
Ensure compliance with the J&J WW financial, HCBI, transparency and Business Conduct procedures and drive accountability throughout the organization- Ensure compliance with local regulations

  • Ensure adherence to the J&J CREDO.

People management -
Attract, develop, and retain top talent (team of 6 people)

  • Ensure collaboration between all finance groups (e.g. Accounting, CTC, FP&A DFIT, EMEA Regional, General Services Accounting, I2C, Intercompany,..) and be the single point of contact for LT and regional finance team.
  • Be an inspirational leader, who inspires people to reach their potential and have an external and customer lens, and ensures Credo Values are demonstrated in the daytoday interactions of his or her team
  • Coach and mentor key talents in EMEA Finance, Janssen France xsector Finance
  • Create an atmosphere where diversity, equity & inclusion thrives and leverage to create high performing teams
  • Serve as a dedicated, collaborative member of the Janssen EMEA Finance Leadership Team, supporting initiatives to drive strong talent development, culture, efficiency, and effectiveness across the Janssen EMEA Finance team.

Qualifications:


QUALIFICATIONS -
University degree in Business/Finance/Economics with strong and relevant financial/business experience

  • Technical accounting experience through accountancy qualification / experience in Big 4 public accounting firm
  • Pharmaceutical industry know how is a plus
  • Experienced Leader (leading teams) and collaborating with senior management, business and functional leaders
  • Proven financial and analytical skills, result and performance driven
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player mentality and collaborative working style
  • Excellent communication, influencing and framing skills
  • Exemplary leadership skills in creating high performing teams and developing people to their highest potential
  • Ability to complexity and ambiguity in periods of change
  • Customer orientation / market place knowledge / business acumen
