Main Purpose of the Role
Oversees the division's sourcing capabilities and supply chain.

Effectively utilise the company's buying power and manage finding and evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiate contracts and acquire the most cost-efficient deals without compromising on quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong, compliant relationships with suppliers, and communicate with other departments to assess the relevance of new suppliers to define contract terms.
  • Occasionally and as directed, perform any other reasonable tasks required in addition to the above, which will be both reasonable and within your capabilities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to service commitments.
  • Be responsible for contract profitability in relation to cost control.
  • Initiate and implement contracts.
  • Develop addons and/or service offerings on managed contracts in coordination with the Business Engineer by creating quotes and associated amendments. Generate new business and projects with new enduser clients (followup prospecting).
  • Propose contractual assembly solutions and related documents (confidentiality agreements, subcontracting, etc.).
  • Participate in the preparation of a commercial proposal and its negotiation.
  • Assist the project manager in the contractual analysis of the specifications.
  • Ensure the consistency of the entire contractual package, between the contract and the project, ensuring its economic balance.
  • Identify project risks and propose contractual mechanisms to ensure the best possible control.
  • Contribute to the drafting and negotiation of the final contract along with its annexes. Ensure the archiving of the contract and its revisions to track negotiations and any concessions made by each party.
  • Simplify and make all binding elements accessible to everyone.
  • Contribute to the project management in its contractual aspect (both in dealing with the client, partners, and subcontractors) and in the interpretation of contract clauses.
  • Ensure the formalization of commitments (contracts, amendments, and tenders, contracts with suppliers, archiving, and contract lifecycle monitoring).
  • Manage and monitor contractual administration in support of the project (milestones, deliverables, acceptances, payments, etc.) and address contractual discrepancies (notifications, correspondences, analyses, variations).
  • Alert the project manager in case of risks of noncompliance of services with contractual requirements, deviations in profitability (noncontracted additional costs related to various events: additional client requests, subcontractor risks, scheduling risks, impacts of external risks, etc.).
  • Handle, from a contractual perspective, events impacting the project: noncompliance with contractual obligations; commercial claims; new regulatory requirements...
  • Prepare documentary elements to support a claim, prelitigation, or even litigation.
  • Participate, if necessary, in internal or external meetings requiring it, either in preparation for negotiations or the establishment of amendments to the ongoing contract.

Knowledge Required

  • Procurement and Supply Chain experience within the Engineering or Construction Sector.
  • Strong Operations management skills.

Skills & Qualifications

  • IT Literate with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting / exceeding goals.
  • High Financial and numerical skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a businessrelated field like business management, contract or procurement is desirable.
  • An industry recognised certification such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIP) certification / NVQ certifications in Supply Chain Management or equivalent is desirable.
