Jimmy Fairly was founded in Paris in 2010 with a bold idea: high-quality, beautifully designed eyewear at fair prices.

Today, we operate over 160 stores across Europe and the UK, launching new collections every six weeks and delivering a seamless, customer-first experience from styling to aftercare.

We opened our very first U.S. store in New York in December 2025 — and the response has exceeded all expectations. Strong traffic, record days, an engaged local community… it's been an exciting start.

Because of this growth, we're expanding the team and looking for a Licensed Optician who wants to be part of building something long-term in the U.S.

The Role

As a Licensed Optician, you're a key pillar of the store.

You combine clinical expertise, strong sales skills, and a sharp sense of style.

You guide clients through their entire journey — from understanding their prescription to finding frames they love and lenses that truly suit their lifestyle.

You're not just dispensing glasses. You're elevating the experience and helping us scale a fast-growing flagship.

Your Responsibilities

Client Experience & Sales

Welcome and guide clients with warmth and confidence.

Interpret prescriptions and recommend tailored lens solutions.

Confidently advise on lens upgrades and treatments.

Style frames with attention to detail and aesthetics.

Build long-term relationships and drive repeat business.

Optical Expertise

Ensure full compliance with New York State regulations.

Perform fittings, adjustments, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.

Inspect finished eyewear to guarantee premium quality.

Manage lens orders with accuracy and care.

Team & Operations

Train and support the retail team on optical knowledge.

Contribute to smooth daily operations and inventory management.

Help us continuously refine processes as we grow in the U.S.

What We're Looking For

A current New York State Licensed Optician is required.

Solid experience in optical retail and strong lens knowledge.

A natural sales mindset with a client-first approach.

Energetic, proactive, and solution-oriented.

Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Availability to work Saturdays.
