In Trimble Agriculture, Bilberry is an innovative Agtech, whose ambition is to reduce the quantity of herbicide used worldwide by 80%.

Our products, protected by more than 30 patents, use the most advanced image processing AI technology in collaboration with embedded systems to help achieve our mission of a more sustainable agriculture.

In order to reduce the amount of herbicides used, our camera network, directly embedded on the boom of the sprayers, continuously scans the paddock, identifies the weeds within the crops in real time, and controls the spraying automatically.

By using our technology, we spray only where it's needed, when it's needed.

The Mission:

We are seeking an AI engineer with expertise in deep learning for computer vision to join our diverse team of software engineers, cloud developers and AI engineers.

This role is key as our algorithms are the brains of our product.

As an AI engineer at Trimble Agriculture / Bilberry you will be responsible for developing computer algorithms able to detect a wide variety of weeds in agricultural crops in real time.

It involves the following responsibilities:

Create, improve and optimize computer vision algorithms to make them efficient, commerciable and fast on resourceconstrained devices.
Collaborate with the product team to define requirements and use cases for computer vision solutions.
Collaborate with our annotation team to develop and maintain good quality datasets for training and testing deep learning models.
Exploit large amounts of unlabeled images : How do we exploit the millions of images we receive each year ? How to select the best images for annotation ?
Stay up to date on technologies/scientific publications in AI and Computer Vision in order to come with the most appropriate solutions.
Participate in scientific reviews with the other AI engineers.
Develop and test new AI and DL techniques to improve our products, tools and pipelines.
Be involved in our sprints flow and actively participate in the different technical discussions and team meetings.

Your Profile:

You enjoy taking on new challenges and have excellent analysis skills. You are able to find solutions to identified problems and to set them up
You are both autonomous and able to work in a team. You are willing to share your knowledge with others and to always improve your skills.
You own a bachelor's, master's or degree in data science, deep learning, machine learning, computer science, software development, or another related field.
You have an experience of at least 6 months in the domain of deep learning.
Advanced knowledge of Python programming language

Bonus :
C++ knowledge

Advanced knowledge of at least one deep learning framework like Pytorch or Tensorflow
Familiarity with the following Python librYou aries : OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas
Advanced knowledge of AI and deep learning for computer vision : classification, segmentation, detection, GAN, transformers
Knowledge of MLOps for deep learning : Docker, Kubeflow, DVC
Small knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP
Full knowledge of GIT
Passionate about the latest advances in the field of deep learning
Understand most of the scientific publications in the domain
Knowledge of deep learning production environments and hardware
Experience working with large datasets
Fluent in English
