Department
- Optimisation and Trading Analytical Team
The team is part of a wider Quantitative Modelling and Analytics team and is a dynamic group of 10 professionals based in both Paris and London.
The team efforts are directed towards both the short-term electricity markets as well as the longer-term horizon and other commodities.
We work closely with the trading desks and other analyst teams in both locations, fostering a collaborative environment that drives our success.
Position purpose- Supply and demand orders are at the core of the dayahead price determination algorithm operating in the Pan-European electricity market.
- The main objective of the internship is to contribute to the improvement of forecasting wholesale curve orders methods within EDFT's dayahead electricity price and volume forecasting model.
The second part of the internship will focus on implementing, testing and validating these new approaches in EDFT forecasting framework with a focus on some specific market areas.
Once results are validated and implemented, the intern will present the work to power trading desks and contribute to the deployment of the solution in production.
