Why Modus Create?

Tweag by
Modus Create. Modus is a fully remote IT consulting firm headquartered in the United States with offices in Costa Rica, Romania and Paris.

We are now 500 modites spread across the globe, making a difference in the digital business across four core delivery areas:
business and product strategy consulting, customer experience, cloud services, and Agile software delivery.

We work with some impressive clients in the industry, such as Burger King, Shiseido, Pfizer, Audi, Marriott Hotels, and many others.

We work together with client teams on their code-base, which include (but is not limited to) distributed systems, web services, and financial systems, improving our many research and community projects, participating in public communication via writing blog posts and communicating with colleagues and the Functional programming community.

We have a long track record and a strong reputation in the functional programming community.

Thus, in each of our software, data, and infrastructure domains, we value immutability and strong typing to produce verifiable solutions, and composability and declarative style so that we can readily generalize and repurpose those solutions.

We are looking for exceptional people to join our team who are humble and able to make confident contributions, People who will proactively collaborate to explore, define, and deliver their work.

Our engineers are allowed and encouraged to fail as much as they are encouraged to succeed. We nurture an environment of autonomy and drive, providing ample support and diverse opportunities for growth.

You love learning and understand that software is an ever-evolving world. You enjoy playing with new tech and exploring areas that you might not have experience with yet. You are self-driven, self-learner willing to share knowledge and participate actively in your community.
Having overlap with your team is critical when working in a global remote team. Modus requires all team members to overlap with EST hours daily. In addition, reliable high speed internet is a must.

Things You Might Do
Modus is a fast-growing, and remote-first company, so you'll likely get experience on many different projects across the organization.

That said, here are some things you'll probably do:

  • Give back to the community via open source and blog posts
  • Travel and meet great people
- as part of our remote-first lifestyle, it's important that we come together as needed to work together, meet each other in person and have fun together. Please keep that in mind when you apply.
