    As a Senior Procurement Category Manager Metals (m/f/d), you will report to the Category Sourcing Management Specialist Global Categories in the Sourcing department based in Obernai, Europe for a CDI contract.

    What you will do?

    1. Develop and implement the sourcing strategy for metal raw materials that supports the company's growth.
    2. Manage policies and processes for purchasing the raw materials needed for manufacturing products, research, or other business activities.
    3. Monitor, analyze and anticipate the raw materials market, global economic conditions, and events to make informed purchasing decisions.
    4. Identify, evaluate, and monitor suppliers and develop relationships that ensure reliable supply and guarantee the quality and availability of necessary raw materials.
    5. Oversee tenders and contract negotiations to secure the best prices to meet raw material needs.
    6. Provide strategic support to the main internal stakeholders to ensure our inventory levels and manufacturing needs are met.
    7. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing the purchase and delivery of goods.
    8. Lead supplier innovation days and competitions to increase technology sharing and new idea generation. Foster an innovative, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.

    What about you?

    1. You have a University degree in business management, supply chain management, or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in a category management position, preferably in the field of metal raw materials.
    2. You must be fluent in English and ideally in German and have knowledge of SAP and category strategies.
    3. You demonstrate strong negotiation and contract management skills, the ability to collect and analyze information, solve problems, and make decisions based on this analysis.
    4. You are recognized for your interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain strong and lasting relationships with strategic suppliers.
    5. You can analyze and evaluate complex situations, anticipate potential challenges, and develop long-term plans to achieve objectives. You demonstrate change-driven leadership with a growth mindset and resilience management to react and be proactive in preventing crises.
