Job Purpose


The Supply Chain Manager is a key enabler to achieve service and operational excellence, to simplify processes and portfolios, to optimize inventory & all costs between Amcor Flexibles Froges and its internal /external business partners.

The Supply Chain manager is responsible for the factory planning and owns the full materials management flow.

He/she also supervises the local purchasing process and is able to engage on Commercial, Technical or Operations matters.

Number of direct reports: 5 direct reports - Planning (2), Logistic (3)

The position reports to the Plant General Manager with a dotted line to the functional BU Supply Chain Manager.


The main responsibility is to manage supply chain results of the site by improving main KPI (Difotis, Freight and Packaging costs, S&OP, Inventory level-DIO, Working Capital).

Additionally Supply Chain Manager will optimize the capacity utilization and machine load balancing.

Supply Chain Manager is also responsible for production planning & scheduling, raw material, local procurement, inventories control, service level (DIFOT).


Principal Accountabilities

Efficient & effective order fulfillment

  • Fulfill customer demands through the most efficient use of resources
  • Contact with customers and suppliers
  • Supplier performance
  • On Time In Full and In Specification Deliveries (DIFOTIS)

Performance reporting

  • Monthly Management Report
  • KPI's (ie: On Time Delivery, On Time In Full, Out of Stock, Materials Slow Moving, DIO,)
  • Procurement savings in GSTT
  • Improvement Agenda
  • Stock management and financial implication
  • Ability to link operational & financial KPI's

Procurement

  • Being the main contact with local suppliers
  • Manage Supplier Performance
  • Identify & deliver Procurement Savings

Planning

  • Sales & Operational Planning
  • Material & Manufacturing resource planning
  • Capacity setting to match budget, forecast and demand
  • Customer forecast management

Inventory Management

  • Match demand with mínimal inventory
  • Optimize inventory management

Continuous Improvement

  • CI activities and projects at Supply Chain area
  • Simplification & effectiveness
  • Maintain knowledge & use of the latest supply chain & logistic tools and processes
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks and constraints

Distribution & transportation

  • Warehousing supervision (internal & external)
  • Maintaining the right warehouse mix to serve customer markets
  • Transport cost & efficiency optimization

Team Management

  • Develop talent
  • Succession planning

Major Challenges & Complexities

  • Deal with an integrated supply chain team (planning, purchasing, logistic) working closely with Customer Service
  • Adapt to a flexible, constantly changing demand and scenario
  • Balance the production needs with the customer requirements
  • Stabilize materials management flows despite space and volume constrains

Qualifications/Requirements

Formal Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Managerial Engineering or similar
  • Min. 5 years of experience in Supply Chain management for a manufacturing unit
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience of running and managing Technical projects with CI &Technical Manager
  • Experience in planning in advanced manufacturing organizations
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Access
  • Strong knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent written and spoken French and English
  • Experience in a flexible packaging or converting company preferred
