Description

Within the EMEA finance reporting department, you are responsible for the quality of IFRS and French Gaap accounts relating to accounting and investment accounting operations; produces IFRS reporting for General Management (board), the business divisions and the Consolidation department (clearance); produces statutory annual reports; analyzes the impact of regulatory changes and act as a referent on taxes transmission and production of analyses.


Key duties and responsibilities

The main tasks related to this function are:

  • Participate in quarterly financial reporting
  • Participate in the preparation of the balance sheet and annual financial statements
  • Analyze changes in the accounts within your scope, drawing up supporting documents to ensure the reliability of these accounts
  • Implement actions to improve data quality
  • Update the department's procedures and processes for its perimeter.
  • Participate in the establishment of the quarterly IFRS closing calendar, monitor it and control the closing process of the company and its branches;
  • Participate in the review of the financial statements submitted by the department's entities whose accounts are not managed by the Finance team in order to control and appropriate them;
  • Participate in tax review, tax documentation and processes, determination of tax results, VAT and pro rata calculation, tax rationalization.
  • Establish, among other things, a landing and regular analyses of the financial result, linking it to the underlying economic drivers, in relation with the Consolidation, FP&A, Management Control and Reporting departments;
  • Participate in the review of the statutory annual financial statements of Finance entities;
  • Contribute to the implementation of control processes (account reconciliation, variance monitoring, etc.).
  • You may also be asked to participate in various projects.
As a referent on taxes, your mission will be to:

  • Coordinate the production and transmission of analyses
  • Contribute to the project of reducing closing times and optimising tasks and simplifying in order to harmonise all processes within the EMEA reporting team,you contribute to strengthening procedures
  • Contribute to the support of employees by designing and cofacilitating training or knowledge transfer.

Required experience & competencies

  • With at least 5 years' experience in a similar position (insurance financial reporting, audit, etc.), you have a good knowledge of accounting and are comfortable working with figures in both IFRS and statutory standards.
  • Successful experience in change management would be a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, communication, team spirit and a confirmed appetite for change management within a financial structure.

Required Education
Master's degree in finance or equivalent (engineering school)
