The Gypsum Process Innovation department/team at TIP is looking for a Chemical or Thermal process engineer


Reporting to the Stucco Preparation Area Team Manager, your role will be Calcination Process Engineer within a Central process team with a worldwide scope.


This includes the following duties:

  • Develop further the knowledge of gypsum calcination processes
  • Support plants in energy reduction, quality optimization and best practices
  • Carry out studies at lab or at industrial scale
  • Coordinate innovative research topics in partnership with both plants and worldwide R&D centers.
This position is based in Vaujours (93)

25% of time spent travelling (multiple short trips and/or long trips 1-2 weeks)

Possibility of remote work up to 2 days a week

Languages:
Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)


Technical skills required:

  • Master of Science degree (or equivalent) in Chemical or Process Engineering
  • 25 years of professional experience
  • Experience in equipment design and/or instrumentation appreciated
  • Proficient in Excel or programming

  • Adaptability and ability to work in a complex international organization
  • Good communication and persuasion skills, especially with operation

Technologie et Performance Industrielle (TIP) is a central international team of around 550 employees spread across several sites in France and abroad.

Its mission is to define and implement the Group's energy and environmental roadmap, while providing technical support to the Group's plants, particularly in Construction businesses such as Gypsum, Insulation, Mortars and Glass.

TIP is also responsible for R&D programs for products and processes in the Construction businesses, managing strategic investments and allocating capacity between countries.


The GPI (Gypsum Process Innovation) department is tasked with developing gypsum manufacturing processes with the aim of reducing time-to-market, improving plant performance, cutting energy consumption and CO2 emissions, and optimizing production costs at around a hundred sites worldwide.
