    Within the Group, you will join the Group Finance department.

    Within this Department, you will be part of the Group P&C Actuarial team.


    The Group P&C Actuarial team is part of the Group Finance department and has the following missions: (i) drive technical excellence to secure the financial targets, (ii) support 1st line technical topics [Technical Provisions and Reinsurance, Pricing Excellence, Profitability measures], (iii) fulfil the regulatory role of the actuarial function.


    The Group P&C actuarial team is composed of 12 FTEs and leverages on all local actuarial teams and Centers of Expertise across the Group.


    Starting 2024, the Group P&C Actuarial team will carry out In-Depth Reviews of the technical provisions of the operating entities, leading to an effective independent opinion to drive business sustainability and ensure Group-wide continuous improvement and quality of the actuarial practice.

    Job purpose


    The Senior P&C Reserving Actuary:
    Reviews in depth the technical provisions of targeted entities and/or activities, upon mandate of the top management;
    Provide key perspectives and business insights to the top management
    Participates to the Group P&C actuarial practice knowledge sharing
    Contributes to the steering of the P&C activities

    Main activities

    In-depth reviews

    Organize on-site missions, based on mandate from the top management, schedule, prepare and lead on-site reviews with local stakeholders (actuarial, claims, underwriting, finance), define the precise scope of the review, request information and analyze the effectiveness of the governance, processes, the quality of the data and methodologies and the appropriateness of the local actuarial practice.

    Formulate an independent opinion and recommendations to the local management and to the Group management.
    Provide key perspectives and insights on the risks carried in the technical provision.
    Best Practice sharing and up skilling

    Identify best practices across the Group and areas of improvements, and contribute to up skilling the Actuarial practice in the Group.

    Contribute to the effectiveness of the global Reserving framework and identify solutions to ensure the sustainability of our businesses.
    Contribute to the animation and coordination of the Actuarial Professional Family
    Actuarial Function

    Provide insights to the Group Actuarial Function Holder to issue its opinion opinion in the Actuarial Report on underwriting, reserves and (iii) reinsurance arrangements.

    Propose bespoke recommendations regarding practice, tools, methodologies.

    Your Profile

    The role holder is an experienced Actuary with demonstrated successful experiences in P&C responsibilities.

    Strong overall knowledge of P&C insurance products.
    Understand and anticipate the impact of economic and trends on P&C business, in different geographies.
    Strong quantitativeacumen.
    Ability to effectively convey complex issues into clear and easy-to-understand oral or written presentations in English.
    Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders.
    Ability to work transversally in a global organization, and to build strong and trusting relationship.
    Highly self-motivated with a high level of autonomy and ability to define and lead projects.

    Capacity to deal with a wide diversity of situations, to build meaningful overviews as well as performing deep dives on technical matters.
