Internship goal:

Create a chart by taking fields from different datasets and joining them on the client side.

Detailed description:

Today Dataiku Story allows Citizen data scientists to build charts to explore data, highlight and communicate important information found in data.

Dataiku Story UI allow, user without technical knowledge (i.e SQL), to manipulate and display data.

A common use case in data analytics is join data between different dataset to create more information and this task is done generally before displaying data in ETL, data transformation jobs.

But sometimes it could be useful to allow a lightweight version to cross data, for example if customers want to display "revenue" and "objectif" from two datasets with different granularity, we could do 2 requests to get the result of each value and merge them into the chart to display the appropriate information to the user.

During this internship, you will:

Get familiar with Dataiku story, its charting capabilities, its backend engine written in nodeJS, and its Typescript frontend relying on ECharts and ReactJS.

Implement requested features

Eventually suggest other possible enhancements

Celebrate and party because our beloved users would then be able to use new kinds of charts

Stack:

Frontend:
React (Typescript), Echarts, Duckdb (experiment)

Backend:
Nodejs, Clickhouse, Redis
