    Description

    Activity

    LD Tide manages the operation and management of a fleet of 3 catamaran type offshore maintenance vessels, intended for the transport and transfer at sea of industrial personnel specialized in the maintenance of the installations of the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm.

    Mission

    The Deckhand contributes to the operational efficiency of the vessel and ensures the safe transfer of crew and personnel.

    Non-limiting tasks:

  • The Deckhand is responsible to the Captain for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel
  • The Deckhand maintains a visual and auditory watch on the bridge during navigation. He assists the Captain or Officer of the Watch to the best of his ability.
  • The Deckhand is in charge of the operation of the deck equipment under the orders of the Captain during operations in port and at sea.
  • The Deckhand participates in the ship's mooring operations under the direction of the Captain. He carries out the stowage and securing of cargo on the decks under the Captain's orders and in accordance with the Company's applicable procedures and recommendations.
  • Ensures that all deck equipment on the vessel is maintained and safe to use
  • Ensures that all personnel transfers are carried out safely and that the correct personal protective equipment is worn. The crew must follow the Company's transfer operation procedures.
  • The Deckhand is responsible for the personal protective equipment and safety equipment of the vessel. He/she ensures that regular inspections are performed and that any anomalies are reported to the Captain. The Deckhand shall conduct inspections of PPE and safety equipment on board as directed by the Master, including accurate confirmation of quantities, conditions and serial numbers.
  • The Deckhand shall ensure that the presentation of the vessel contributes to the positive and professional image of the Company. The vessel must be kept clean and tidy to the best of the crew's ability.
  • The Deckhand is responsible for all passenger areas ensuring they are free of hazards and kept clean and tidy.
  • The Deckhand ensures that food hygiene and associated equipment is clean and maintained in accordance with the ship's requirements and applicable regulatory obligations.
  • The Deckhand must undertake all tasks with professionalism and diligence
    Report to the ship's captain and provide all assistance required to the best of their ability.
  • The Deckhand participates in regular risk assessments and implements identified measures to avoid or minimize to a reasonable level risks to health, safety and the environment.
  • Prerequisites

    Initial training :

  • Bridge Watchman certificate
  • Restricted Radio Operator Certificate (RRO)
  • Basic Safety Training Certificate (BSTC) STCW 2010
  • Experience:

  • Offshore experience preferred
  • Preferably experience in fast catamaran ship handling
  • Language(s):

  • Fluency in English is imperative, written and spoken.

  • Up-to-date medical clearance

    Availability : ASAP

    Location: La Turballe ship operation base. Accommodation onshore or offshore.

    Work schedule : 14 days/14 days rotations by default, variable reference period from 7 to 21 days (night work to be expected).

    Type of contract: Permanent or fixed-term contract / ENIM regime – 4th category – GASPE collective agreement IDCC 3228 and company agreements relating to the organization of working hours.
