Do you want to play a role in an international environment?

Prologis is looking to recruit a Development Manager (traditionally called "Chef de Projet Construction" in other companies).

Our development manager will be responsible for the design, entitlement and construction of development and major refurbishment projects, mostly based in Paris.


Our development management team plays fundamental roles in our Land Acquisition, Land entitlement, Land development, Design Development, Procurement, Value Engineering and Design Optimization work, pushing boundaries through innovation, strategic sourcing and process improvements to compress schedules, reduce costs and advance alternate construction methods.

You will partner with our development management and capital deployment teams to not only growing Prologis' presence in the French market, but also align with cross regional leadership to create cohesive communication, management and strategy throughout our global network.

What's needed in order to do that:

  • Act as key contributor to our Development Management Team within France with strong collaboration with capital deployment, property, and leasing departments for both new development plans and land/building acquisition projects.
  • Act as "Owner" of assigned construction projects being it in pre, during or postimplementation phase.
  • Feasibility studies and technical due diligence for land / building acquisitions
  • Planning consent, permitting, and infrastructure works for newly acquired land.
  • Work with Capital Deployment team to secure BTS opportunities and setting up speculative developments.
  • Maintain and enhance relationship with local authorities and manage permitting process.
  • Cooperation with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, government and building authorities involved in the projects.
  • Procure and setting up framework of suppliers (contractors, designers, and consultants) for land development and building development works.
  • Review highlevel deliverables across the projects.
  • Through innovative mindset, initiate suggestions for companywide process improvements and "best practices".
  • Arrange and participate in conferences between suppliers and engineers, permitting authorities, inspectors, and other company personnel to facilitate material specifications, substitutions, standardization, and economical procurement (including life cycle and supply chain analysis) of parts and equipment to be used as implementation of construction projects.
  • Optimize building and development specifications based on life cycle analysis and optimized supply chain.
  • Lead our NetZero 2040 efforts that includes carbon neutral development, defossilizing energy use and implement innovative ideas that help Company reduce its carbon footprint in an efficient manner.

  • Direct Sourcing (Procurement).
  • Sustainable Building Prototype and Specification.

Tell us if you're ready:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in Industrial development, land entitlement, and construction.
  • Project management experience with a General Contractor and Developer is preferred. Additional experience on Design/Build projects is desirable but not require.
  • Bachelors or master's degree in engineering, Construction Management or Architecture.
  • Proven knowledge of real estate development cycle including land / building acquisitions, feasibility studies, transactions.
  • Business driven mindset with strong experience in leading technical teams and developing professionals.
  • Good understanding of building law concerning design and execution of projects.
