Title:
Internship (Master 2/Ecole d'Ingénieur) in _Reliable Low-Latency Communication via Forward Error Correction (FEC)_


Location:
I3S Lab CNRS, 2000 Rte des Lucioles, 06900 Sophia Antipolis


Supervisor:
Serge Kas Hanna, Junior Professor, CNRS/Côte d'Azur University


Expected starting date/duration:
March or April 2023 / 5 to 6 months


Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will be involved in a comprehensive exploration of FEC strategies for reliable low-latency communication


Key responsibilities include:
-
Literature Review: Conduct an in-depth review of existing literature on codes for low-latency communication to build a strong foundation for the project.
-
Comparative Study: Perform a comparative study on existing coding approaches through simulations on Matlab or Python.
-
Optimization: Work towards optimizing existing coding approaches, aiming to enhance their efficiency and error correction capabilities.


Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a Master's (M2) program or in the final year of a 5year Engineering degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with at least one the following: error correction codes, information theory, digital communications.
  • Excellent programming skills in Matlab or Python.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Salary:
According to the internship gratification scale (600 euros per month approximately)
