We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Playgroup Assistant to join our dynamic playgroup team.


Responsibilities:

Assist the playgroup leader in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Create a warm and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and express themselves.

Support children in developing essential skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and fine motor abilities, through play-based learning experiences.

Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure effective communication and understanding of each child's individual needs and progress.

Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.

Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting a collaborative and supportive playgroup environment

Assist in observing and documenting children's achievements, milestones, and areas for further development

Qualifications and Skills:
Genuine passion for working with young children and creating a nurturing learning environment.

Previous experience in a similar role or working with children aged 2-4 years is preferred.

Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing situations in a dynamic playgroup setting.

Punctuality and reliability, demonstrating respect for scheduled playgroup sessions and activities.

Enthusiasm and a positive attitude, inspiring and motivating children in their learning journey.

Strong organisational skills to assist in managing playgroup materials and resources.

Team player mindset, actively contributing to the collaborative efforts of the playgroup team.

Safety awareness, prioritising the well-being and security of children in all activities.
