    Controls Business Partner
    Paris

    As a Barclays Controls Business Partner, you'll be responsible to act as the point of coordination and syndication of all Control Services, ensuring consistency and quality delivery of the Controls Strategy, Control Frameworks, improvement initiatives and capabilities across each Business, Functions or Horizontals. In your scope, you will develop and maintain relationships with senior colleagues and stakeholders - with the ability to effectively challenge risk and control decisions, when needed.

    What will you be doing?

    • Being responsible for providing oversight, guidance and support relating to issues management in respect of risk and control issues including quality and adherence to SLAs

    • Being responsible for ensuring frameworks are implemented and managed effectively across aligned businesses, functions and horizontals

    • Providing support, advice, education and awareness relating to issues management as part of continuous improvement and enhanced service framework

    • Driving improved and sustainable controls culture through use of data led relevant indicators to ensure Control Forums are insightful and conversations risk focused

    • Monitoring key indictors and providing insights to leadership to oversee their risk profile, this includes analytics covering root cause analysis of issues and thematic trends etc

    • Identifying and resolving thematic issues to drive control enhancement opportunities through the use of key data such as Control Reporting & Data insights

    • Being responsible for providing consultancy and advisory service to drive high quality risk management in line with strategy, regulation, Group frameworks, policies and standards

    What we're looking for:

    • Experience of working in or within a Control type role/team with the ability to demonstrate a risk management mindset

    • Fluent\\Business competent level in French and English language

    • Proven Stakeholder Management experience and ability to influence at senior management level

    • Good understanding and knowledgeable on aspects of Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Operational Risk Framework and Barclays Control Framework

    Skills that will help you in the role:


    • Markets\\Investment Banking experience

    • Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present credibly to senior stakeholders

    • Highly experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions who have different objectives Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Legal

    • Excellent excel skills including experience in managing large quantities of data, pivots and formulas
