    Default job background
    Description

Our client is a well-established international pharmaceutical company dedicated to developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of patients worldwide. They are heavily investing in Research & Development initiatives and collaborating with a wide range of partners, from academic institutions to start-ups, as well as pharma and biotech companies, to address healthcare challenges.

A rewarding position is now available for a Pharmaceutical R&D Microbiology scientist to serve as the microbiology expert for new chemical and biological products in both sterile and non-sterile forms, as well as for various R&D projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the sterility of a newly established drug production facility and overseeing or conducting necessary microbiology operations.

Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

    • Assisting in the setup and monitoring of microbiology-related activities for outsourced experimental drugs while adhering to quality, timeline, and budget requirements,
    • Coordinating outsourced microbiology tasks to ensure compliance with regulations and protocols,
    • Handling OOS, OOT, and microbial issues involving external and internal stakeholders,
    • Participating in audits, inspections, CAPAs, and collaborating closely with the sterility assurance department to define and implement specifications.

The ideal candidate should hold a Master's and/or PhD in Microbiology, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sterile environment within an industrial pharmaceutical setting, preferably in R&D. Proficiency in GMP regulations, particularly Annex 1, and prior experience analyzing both sterile and non-sterile products are required.

Occasional travel to partner laboratories in countries such as Germany and the US may be necessary, albeit not on a regular basis. Fluency in English is a must, while proficiency in French would be advantageous - the company offers French lessons for non-French speakers. Strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a proactive attitude, are essential for this role.

This role presents an exciting opportunity within a growing global organization, allowing you to shape your own position. In addition to a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits, some of which are outlined below:

    • Remote work option when physical presence is not needed,
    • 27 days of holidays + RTT,
    • Assistance with relocation,
    • Participation in the pension scheme,
    • Access to company restaurant and gym facilities,
    • Healthcare coverage (Mutuelle),
    • State-of-the-art and modern work environment.
