General
Wajer Yachts is a Dutch family-owned business with an international field of activity.
Although we are located in different places in the world, our yards in the Netherlands are the beating heart of our company.
Here, a team of approximately 300 colleagues works on the development, design, construction and testing of around 60-70 yachts per year.
About service and refit projects are also being realized here.
From our service hubs (South of France, Ibiza, Mallorca, Miami & The Hamptons) we offer our customers an unparalleled service with our Care program.
What are you going to do?
In the role of Operations Manager, you will be ultimately responsible for managing our Care operations in one of our servicehubs in the South of France.
Your primary focus is coordinating the day-to-day operations, delivering the ultimate customer experience and achieving high customer satisfaction scores at your service hub.
This means you will be a key member of the operational leadership team for Wajer in France.Working alongside the Area Manager France and the other Operations Managers you will share the responsibility for the Care proposition in France.
As the initial and daily point of contact for our customers, local partners, and Wajer employees, you play a pivotal role.
A true people manager, you provide clear instructions to ensure that all tasks are carried out accurately and on schedule.
Your ability to stay informed about team dynamics allows you to effectively manage, inspire, and motivate them.
Additionally, you collaborate closely with our Sales team, ensuring seamless coordination for demo's and pre-boats Actively contributing to the growth of our rapidly expanding activities and organization.
Within this broad role in a highly dynamic work environment, you are accountable for overall operational management and the execution of the Wajer Care program.
- Responsibilities_:
- Coordinating with customers regarding the planned activities and, when necessary, preparing and/or adjusting quotes and (service) contracts.
- Creating the schedule for the start and end of the season according to customer preferences regarding transport, storage, and maintenance.
- Developing staff schedules and availability overviews.
- Coordinating the proper use of residential and office facilities, harbor spaces, cars, and other means of transportation.
- Overall responsibility for the internal registration of all necessary activities, including fuel, trips, occupancy, and supplies. You ensure accurate and timely input for our accounts receivable management.
- Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience to prepare and support incentives, events, and shows.
- Coordinating and supervising (internal and external) winter maintenance and communicating about it with customers.
- Implementing and preparing developments and process improvements for the upcoming sailing season.

- A college or universitylevel education
- A minimum of 3 years of professional working experience
- A commitment to this role for the upcoming 23 years with the willingness to live at least 78 months a year in France; if you're already living in the South of France, it's a definite plus
- You possess at least an ICC Inland + Coastal waters certification, with an advantage if you have international sailing experience
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English. Speaking Dutch and French is a definite plus
- Strong administrative skills and good financial and commercial insight
- A great sense of hospitality and custo
