Assignments for this position (Advanced Modeling intern) include:

  • Conduct research and development work using modeling tools in current and future fiber reinforced composite solutions.
  • Understand latest modeling tools and make improvements to current resources
  • Report writing + internal presentation (in English) on the delivery work

Selection Criteria

  • Actively pursuing a M.S. or engineering degree in Materials Science & Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Chemical Engineering; or related science/engineering field
  • Good level of knowledge in mechanics FRP composite.
  • Good level of knowledge with standard composite testing procedures (tensilecompressionflexural, fatigue) and composites manufacturing process is a plus (Infusion, SMC)
  • Experience in one of the following modeling/simulation techniques micromechanics, laminate design, Finite Element Analysis (Abaqus preferred), Micromechanics (Digimat) or process modeling (Moldex3D or Moldflow).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Matlab, Python.)
  • Team player and ability to work on multiple projects in multicultural environment in collaboration with colleagues and other teams
  • Accountable, reliable person and efficient in the work delivery
  • Good communication skills in English and French (written and oral)
Duration: 6-month internship.
