Generic Job Description (not Job Level specific): The Product / Test Engineering (NPI/NTI) Engineer / Architect enables to covering the quality of the NPI via Characterization, Qualification & Production testing order to guarantee a mass producible product.
To enable it, the individual designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting integrated circuits use (Automatic) Test Equipment.
Prepares qualification, production test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and characterization and qualification of standard and special devices.The individual develops new or modified process formulations, data analysis techniques and defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and characterization / qualification of products.
