We are currently looking for our Chief Accountant - France, based in Paris.

  • You will report to Remy, our Global Head of Accounting, based in Barcelona.

What will I be doing?:


  • Lead, train and develop the French Accounting team (AR-APGL-Tax) currently made up of 5 people and growing.
  • Supervise all accounting work and monthly tax declarations, and tax compliance.
  • Timely closing of the Annual Audit (4 legal entities).
  • Manage the establishment of annual tax returns (tax integration) and Financial Statements in collaboration with the group's tax teams.
  • Be the privileged point of contact for financial auditors and local internal teams (Ops, sales, Legal, etc.) on all accounting/tax/financial issues.
  • Ensure the proper development of the processes and tools necessary for the activity.
  • Cash Flow Forecast.
  • Review and recommend changes to existing accounting policies.
  • Set up all processes and tools linked to the new einvoicing and ereporting requirements going live in France in Q1/2024.

What do we need from you?:

  • Fluent in French and English.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to manage a team of a few people.
  • Accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA).
  • Excellent knowledge of tax and other legislative requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Business acumen with a strong interest in startups.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • An adaptable personality is important as the environment of Stuart is always evolving.
  • Preferably experience in the logistics/transportation industry.
