ELECTROCHEMIST ENGINEER M/F PERMANENT POSITION - POSITION BASED IN FRANCE, ILE-DE-FRANCE (92)
Our client is a fast-growing French start-up dedicated to the design of innovative circular chemical manufacturing processes in a sustainable development context.
As a electrochemist expert in design and fabrication of flow or batch electrolysers, you will benefit from an extreme autonomy to lead your projects in a company offering a strong potential of industrial development.
THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
- Setting up and fully instrumenting our electrolyzer. This includes the choice and implementation of sensors and controllers, the acquisition/processing of data with the aim of documenting the operating conditions and then optimizing performance.
- Support the R&D team in electrode development. This includes the choice/characterization, of materials and potentially their manufacturing process.
- Carry out catalytic experiment and investigate stability of the new system
- Propose and develop new R&D strategies
- Benchmark existing technologies and performed technical and economic analysis
- Collaborate with internal business leaders to develop strategic product technology roadmaps including longterm technology capabilities and deliver them to the market
- Publish reports and present modeling results on a regular basis
- Manage multiple projects and deliver in a timely manner
- Routinely document finding and communicate though formal technical reports or other established formats
REQUIREMENTS:
A MEng or PhD in chemistry or chemically related sciences, coupled with experience in the design and fabrication of flow or batch electrolysers, and a very good understanding of electrochemistry.
- At least 2 years of experience in the field of electrochemistry, in particular water oxidation, hydrogen production, CO2 reduction, batteries (Fuel cell, Redox flow battery)
- Knowledge in mechanical engineering, interesting in building up new devise
- Experience in the field of electrode manufacturing
- Highly motivated and a team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, rapidly changing environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Written and oral professional English level required
