Our awesome Market Pricing team is looking for a Market Price Intern D&IS. The purpose of the job is to enhance Alstom's pricing intelligence across the regions.

You will join the most digital division of Alstom Group - the largest global rail manufacturer. Our relatively young and dynamic team that has a direct impact on the success of the company.

Don't worry if you have never worked for the rail industy before, we will introduce you to the nature of rail business.

This is what the job looks like:

Consolidation of historical mainline signaling pricing data:
You will be required to deepdive a repository of historical data price references which are not structured in a cohesive way and you will be expected to make sense of it
You will lay the foundations of a centralized database (under the supervision of a senior pricing manager)

Design a model for our signaling business which will be instrumental to guide the sales team to the right price level:

You will understand how to adjust prices for inflation, FX rates, the main price drivers and the similarities and differences between markets
You will learn how to assess various types of risks
You will learn how to design a pricing model and automize most calculations

Assemble a standard pricing presentation

You will be trained to use Thinkcell (a graph visualization SW)
You will gain valuable insights into how to design a presentation for top management and how to concise stories into simple messages

Maintain and improve price database and data analytic tools:

Continuously improve the internal MS Excel models to compute market prices
Regularly collect and understand external and internal price information
Propose ways of improvement thru new data analytics tools or other automation possibilities

Our ideal candiate would be/have:

Engineering School / Business School / MBA
Excellent knowledge of English
Highly comfortable in working with complex data and esp. MS Excel
Business acumen
Good at priority management and flexible for multiple tasks management
Basic knowledge of signaling solutions is a plus
Good communication skills to face many actors in the organization
Proactive mindset, eagerness to improve the statusquo
Demonstrate Transparency and Reliability
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization, in a matrixed and international environment

Contract

Internship (end of studies) of 6 months with a start as soon as possible.
