Overview:


The Europe Golf Sales Manager is responsible for setting the direction and achieving the desired sales results across all Europe.

Responsibilities include the development & implementation of a strategic sales plan, sales calls, and business development to grow sales & market share.


She / He provides leadership to the European Golf Sales Team and act as the voice of European customers towards Rain Bird's management.

This position is closely working with the Golf Strategic Business Unit on marketing programs, product management and sales supporting actions.


Responsibilities:


  • Delivering ambitious sales results in both products and services.
  • Ensuring Golf Distribution partners deliver optimum performances and market coverage and taking actions to strengthen distribution in every market.
  • Hiring, managing, and developing the Rain Bird Golf Sales Team located in Europe.
  • Enhancing the CRM usage by the Sales Team and using data to drive business decisions.
  • Proposing and implementing differentiating sales strategies, programs, and promotions.
  • Reporting on business activities and playing an active role in sales & inventory management
  • Visiting Distributors and Golf Courses regularly to identify future business opportunities.
  • Strengthening the specification efforts, and establishing long term relationship with key Golf Industry influencers (Architects, consultants, contractors)
  • Being a valuable contributor to Rain Bird Europe and Golf SBU by representing the voice of European customers
  • Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with Rain Bird's global policies and practices and with our high ethical standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Completed bachelor's degree.
  • Proven track record in managing international sales force and business entities in Europe.
- +8 years of successful technical sales management experience, distribution development, and project management at a large scale

  • Aptitude for quantitative analysis, strategic and tactical thinking, and detailed planning
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form.
  • Fluency in English
  • Highly ethical values

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • MBA degree.
  • Other European language a plus (French, German, Spanish)
  • Knowledge of the golf irrigation industry a plus
