About us R&D PROJECT MANAGER -OXIDATION M/F**Business Incubation Group (BIG)
As part of the Symrise Group, the Taste, Nutrition and Health segment combines its expertise to provide innovative ingredient solutions and broad value propositions for the food and beverage, pet food and aquatic feed industries.
In addition to our Research and Technology departments, BIG takes a cross-industry approach.
It focuses on incubation, acceleration and exploration, and allows us to experiment with expanding our operations at a faster pace and seek innovative ways to drive positive change.
Your role Reporting to the Global Director Food Protection you will be in charge of the following mission**:
This mission is primarily applied research, being highly technical in nature and resulting in knowledge to immediately develop new commercial solutions that address our customers' unmet food preservation needs.
- You will bring your expertise in lipid oxidation to the projects, working in a team with other internal and external scientists, as well as others from different internal functions (R&D, regulatory, operations, purchasing, regulatory, commercial, etc.) to develop the projects.
- Undertake literature, intellectual property, and market research to determine the state of the art with respect to oxidation, antioxidants, and other relevant processing techniques that can be used to control oxidation in foods, and food protection functionality testing.
- In a timely manner, manage internal and external resources that contribute to these projects.
- Contribute to and maintain a network with external scientific and industrial partners on food protection.
- Actively participate in relevant scientific events, using them to gather information, network, and build Symrise's reputation in the food protection field.
About you
- Chemical or food science engineer
with a FOCUS ON LIPID OXIDATION AND /OR FOOD PROTECTION MANDATORY;* - Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D project management and product development, in a food environment
OXIDATION - Excellent understanding of the scientific, technical and commercial aspects of natural food protection.
- Creativity, team spirit
- Fluency in French and English
Motivated, energetic and with a real autonomy in your work, you wish to play a strategic role in the development of natural food protection solutions in our group.
