The Charles River site near Lyon, France, is a unique 14-hectare site located in the Azergues valley. It offers an innovative, dynamic and friendly scientific environment where nearly 1000 people work every day with the common goal of participating in the development of drug therapies, while respecting animal welfare


The position


We are currently looking for a
Business Coordinator - M/F on a permanent contract, to support our customers in defining their needs, as close as possible to the services offered by our company.

For the France area and under the responsibility of your supervisor, you will join a team of 3 business coordinators to advise, sell and support our customers until the writing of commercial proposals.


Tasks and responsibilities

  • Facilitating the creation of study outlines, amended statements of work to ensure smooth and timely business process flow.
  • Coordinating our global Safety Assessment sites, local and global Scientific Operations, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure the best possible offer.
  • Ensuring compliance of prices charged.
  • Updating and maintaining all specification activities in line with study revisions and contractual changes, e.g. study deferrals and cancellations.
  • Checking with our Client Service that additional costs have been communicated to the client and approved.
  • Participating in the continuous improvement of our operational efficiency and process improvement.

Required qualifications


You have a 2/3 year degree in a scientific field, which will allow you to have a good understanding of the challenges of our business.

You have a first experience in project management, ideally in a laboratory or research environment, and particularly appreciate the management of costs and budgets.

You are fluent in French and English ; and are able to read, write and speak with your international contacts.

Organized, rigorous and a good communicator, you would like to join a cross-functional team interfacing with our customer and scientific departments.


Contractual terms

  • French contract under collective agreement for the pharmaceutical industry
  • Salary: From €26,000 gross / year over 13 months
  • 60% of the cost of health insurance, company restaurant, work council
  • Transport bonus, profitsharing, seniority agreement, remote agreement, etc.
  • Work site is not accessible by public transport: personal mean of transport essential

Each year approximately 120 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
