Your work environment
We offer you to join AXE GIE as part of SHIP teams.

SHIP (Shared Investment accounting Platform) covers investment accounting activities for the biggest AXA Entities worldwide and aims at harmonizing systems, processes & organization in this area.


The platform is operated by two shared organizations: a Center of Excellence (CoE) acting as a hub for technical and processes expertise, located in Paris, and a Financial Shared Service Center (FSSC) located in India, in charge of the main part of day-to-day activities.


Your department


Attached to the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Paris, you will join the Trade and Asset Servicing (TAS) team as an investment back-office controller.

CoE includes two other key streams which are Data management (which cover the feeding of our platform with master and market data) and Investment Accounting and Reporting (IAR).


The Investment back-office controller is in charge to monitor and improve the accounting processes related to the booking of trades, financial incomes and expenses for the AXA entities in her/his scope of responsibility.

This monitoring activities is performed in Paris, main part of accounting activities being performed by the FSSC in India.


The Investment back-office controller team is overall monitoring the activities of around 120 FTE in India, in charge of booking around posting a month for roughly 200 AXA entities in 14 different countries.

Those activities will be performed in a highly international and changing environment.


Main responsibilities for the assignment

  • As project and development activities, the Investment backoffice controller ensures:
  • Convergence activities among activities performed for the AXA entities using the platform,
  • SHIP solution enhancement and maintenance (business requirement, testing of IT changes, and training to the team),
  • Project Management for adjustment of the platform to new regulation, new scope integration, merger and acquisition among companies in scope),
  • Maintenance and Enhancement of information flow between teams and third parties.
  • As BAU, position implies a piece of BAU activities on Investment backoffice activities:
  • Support Indian team in management of queries and specific posting (2nd level support),
  • Ensure the effectiveness and proper design of control environment,
  • Ensure the quality of deliverable and principally the monthly closing signoff on bookings as well as cash and custody reconciliation,
  • Coordinate the relationship with internal client and third parties,
  • Ensure preventive and corrective actions in case of errors,
  • Controls design and documentation maintenance.

Votre profil:


Technical and professional skills

  • Good knowledge of financial markets and instruments as well as general financial investment chain
  • Project management, Audit, Middle office or fund accounting previous experience
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • English mandatory

Soft skills and competencies

  • Rigorous
  • At ease with international environments
  • Highly collaborative teamoriented, who has proven ability to build relationships with technical and business resources
  • Selfmotivated and proactive, ability to work independently with mínimal direct guidance
  • Analytical mindset with problemsolving skills having already proved the ability to identify, quantify and effectively raise and cover business risks.

Experience


At least 5 years' experience in a similar position, in a Financial Department or in audit, Middle Office or Fund accounting.

At least one significant experience in project management would be appreciated
