Role and Responsibilities
To strengthen our Training Air Services team in Cognac we are looking for a:

Simulator Technician (M/F/d)


As part of the simulator technician team you are responsible for the continuous operation of 5 simulators and other mission support systems.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out technical operations and customer support
  • Prepare the simulators for customer training (i.e. daily start up and shut down of the training systems, daily morning readiness Test)
  • Investigate, isolate and troubleshoot reported problems
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance tasks
  • Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance tasks (repairs)
  • Load and unload software configurations and simulation scenarios
  • Perform backups of different systems
  • Calibrate and adjust simulator systems
  • Support logistic duties, training activities and customer requests
  • Document performed maintenance and logistic duties
  • Maintain good relations with regulatory authorities and ensures information flows within technical organization
  • Support integration activities
  • Willing to work in shifts (early and late) and in very rare occasions on weekends

Your Qualifications

  • Technical education in Computer Sciences or Engineering with preferably two years related work experience (experience in System Administration or Software Maintenance is a plus)
  • Skills to troubleshoot, repair, configure, and maintain complex computer and network systems
  • Solid knowledge of one or more operating systems such as Unix, Linux, Windows NT, etc. and according scripting skills
  • Understanding of computer hardware and network technology
  • Knowledge of program languages like C, C++ is a plus
  • Very good French language skills (both spoken and written)
  • Good team player and willingness to work in shifts
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and network technology
