    Are you a Head of Electrical Engineering who is looking for a long term contract?

    Job Purpose:
  • Responsible for overseeing Electrical Engineering activities during NFW Onshore FEED, ensuring all technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, etc. are in full compliance with project requirements, standardised processes, and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards.
  • Provide clear guidance to the FEED contractor, sub-contractors and vendors and facilitate resolution of electrical technical issues to complete electrical engineering activities such as design, procurement and integration with NFS to meet project objectives and milestones.
    Accountabilities:
    1. Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with (client) LNG Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and (client) Project Management System (QGPMS).
    2. Leads electrical engineering design and planning activities and ensures FEED contractor develops detailed design in accordance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications and any approved variations.
    3. Plan and schedule Electrical Engineering deliverable, including design / project philosophies, specifications and procedures to enable efficient execution in meeting project milestones/schedule
    4. Review, evaluate and advise on electrical simulations, optimization, in compliance with design methods, safety factors (for Large Electrical Generation and Distribution System, Large motor drivers, VFDs in both Motoring and Generating modes, combined cycle power generation, HV switchgears, Electrical Integrated Control System (ELICS) and Power management System for Generation, Load sharing and Distribution Control).
    5. Review technical aspects of electrical equipment purchase orders with NFW FEED Contractor and vendors in accordance with the roles and responsibilities stated in applicable contract(s) to ensure safe and seamless integration of new electrical equipment into the NFS EPC project.
    6. Preparation of procurement as needed, including for Long Lead Items.
    7. Monitor and provide guidance to FEED Contractor to ensure key discipline deliverables, progress/milestones are met. Recommend additional technical support where necessary to address gaps.
    8. Coordinate and analyse discipline issues for resolution. Provide Electrical Engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement etc as necessary. Support commissioning, start-up and system completing activities and make appropriate recommendations to management on Electrical matters.
    9. Lead Electrical interface coordination with NFS onshore, NFS offshore, RLIC, and Kahramaa power supplier, or any third party, as required, during FEED.
    10. Contribute to Safety analysis studies such as SAFOP, HAZOP or HAZID and provide the required input to support project management in key decisions making. Participate in sharing lessons learned, together with capturing current lessons learned to benefit future projects
