BGC Desk Assistant / Trade Input Clerk

There is an entry level opportunity as a Desk Assistant / Trade Input Clerk in our Paris office.


This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity to be part of highly experienced team who are eager to teach and train new recruits.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Inputting trades into the internal booking systems and ensuring confirmation accurately reflect trades processed on a daytoday basis.
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new clients.
  • End of day reconciliation of trades with the desk and ensuring all trades submitted accepted by clients with no outstanding trades in system as of days end.
  • Daily revenue capture of trades within excel and daily reconciliation.
  • Sending information to clients and collating data from auctions.
  • Assisting with the day to day operational and administrative functions of the desk.
  • Responsible for updating the internal operating system.
  • Adhere to BGC's policies and compliance with BGC's operational risk requirements.

Personal attributes:


  • Must speak English and French.
  • Previous experience in a broking/sales role in Paris or other European market ideal but not essential.
  • Hard working and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a highpressured, intense environment and adapt to the fastpaced environment of a broking desk.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Personal and professional integrity.
  • Resilient, resolute, persistent and competitive attitude.
  • Selfmotivated and able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent oral and written communication presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, punctual and proactive.
