  • In this position, the Tender Engineer will work under the management of the Head of Sales.
  • This position is required due to the increasing quantity and complexity of business opportunities for projects where Nexans wishes to bid with superconducting technology, which require a support position to improve tools at tendering stage.
  • The scope of this role includes both Superconducting cable systems and Superconducting Fault Current Limiter.
  • Size of the projects to be handled: a few million to 50M€ and more
  • Purpose:
  • Ambition towards the activity requires a support position to improve tools at tendering stage, to better demonstrate and defend the commercialization of the technology
  • Responsibilities And Tasks:
  • Prepare and improve technical documentation referring to Superconductors (Cable design data sheets, cable schematics, accessories data sheets or drawings,...) for tender participation
  • Participate to the elaboration of cable system laying proposals according to site information and in line with engineering recommendations & specifications
  • Improve Data base of financial content for Cost Benefit Analysis studies (civil works costs, Substation costs etc )
  • Support and enrich various marketing actions to facilitate business development
  • Expected results:
  • Improve data base of technical tendering tools & technical documentation for Bid participation
  • What We Are Looking For:
  • Apprentice 1 year
  • Engineering School specialising in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to communicate, taste for teamwork, rigour and method and writing skills (writing technical documents in English)
  • Appetence to the world of energy
  • Mastery of Autocad software if possible
  • Business acumen/understanding
  • Flexibility as we work on several different sites (Calais, Hanover, Lyon, Paris)
