- Needs Assessment: Collaborate with country Chief Operating Officers (COOs) to gather requirements for automation projects.
- ROI Analysis: Conduct simulations to evaluate Return on Investment (ROI) for each automation project, considering local processes and labor costs.
- Design and Adaptation: Design and adapt previous sorter designs and technologies to suit the specific requirements of each new project and building.
- Blueprint Creation: Manage the creation of 3D/2D blueprints for new projects and validate them with operations teams.
- Procurement Management: Partner with the procurement team to manage the purchase of sorters, including direct procurement of subsystems and integration between companies.
- RFQ and Legal Documentation: Adapt and manage Request for Quotation (RFQ) files then legal contracts for each site and project, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- Site Installations: Oversee site installations, address facility manager questions, and ensure smooth implementation of automation systems.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct reception tests and follow-up on any necessary corrections to ensure the functionality and quality of installed systems.
- Supplier and Technology Evaluation: Regularly evaluate potential new suppliers and emerging technologies relevant to automation in the parcel delivery industry.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly reports to the group level, providing updates on project progress, financial performance, and key metrics
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in automation project management, preferably within the logistics or parcel delivery sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess ROI and optimize processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing supplier relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Fluency in both English and French languages, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Italian and Spanish are a plus.
- Ability to travel regularly within Europe for site visits and supplier meetings.
- Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with emerging automation technologies and trends.
- Proficiency in CAD software for blueprint creation and design validation is a plus.
