    The Role

    Job Overview:

    We are the Silicon Enablement Implementation team, part of the Arm Physical Design Group. This diverse, engineering-centric group invents, defines and develops innovative physical implementation methods for CPU/GPU class designs using optimized physical IP. We pursue next-generation Arm CPUs and GPUs, inventing new concepts that will power billions of devices worldwide.

    We are looking for another passionate physical implementation engineer to join this great team

    The successful candidate will optimize Arm core physical implementations, suggest new implementation techniques and work with EDA companies and foundries. This is an outstanding opportunity to develop improved synthesis, place, and efficient route technics, and analyse and detail the results. They will support key partners to replicate the results and have the opportunity to explore sophisticated design methods.

    Responsibilities:

  • Build implementations of Arm CPU/GPU class designs using PDG's optimized physical IP
  • Work with multiple EDA vendors to enable innovative Arm features and enable the latest technology nodes
  • Lead technical direction and methodology alignment between team
  • Interact with internal and external teams to provide feedback and help them to complete the product tape-out cycle from RTL to GDSII
  • Required Skills and Experience:

  • BE/BTECH/MTECH with proven experience in any domain-related to Hardware engineering Physical Design
  • Values communication is a key medium to nurture learning to build trust with others and solves complex problems with dependencies
  • Deep understanding of the concepts related to synthesis, place & route, CTS, timing convergence, IR/EM checks and signoff DRC/LVS closure
  • High-level know-how related to foundation IPs like standard cells and memories
  • Good automation skills in PERL, TCL and EDA tool-specific scripting
  • "Nice To Have" Skills and Experience:

  • Any implementation experience within the field of CPU/GPU IP designs
