Job Details:

IRSET invites applicants for the Research Chair in Toxicology with an opportunity to work with molecular biologists, immunologists, virologists, epidemiologists, analytical chemists, and toxicologists.

The aim of this chair is to attract outstanding world-class researchers whose accomplishments have had a major impact in their field.

This is a three-year position funded by Rennes Metropole, with additional support to conduct research.

IRSET will provide the successful applicant with a dedicated research area of at least 50 m2 (infrastructure fees will be paid by the host laboratory), and ensure access to onsite technological platforms (e.g.

BIOSIT).

Through this chair, IRSET wishes to reinforce its scientific strategy in the field of environmental health by promoting research in environmental epidemiology and toxicology, allowing to better characterize the role of the exposome and environmental exposures in the occurrence and progression of chronic diseases.

This chair also supports IRSET's attractiveness policy and its dynamic of renewal and creation of new teams in innovative disciplinary fields.

It is an opportunity to work with molecular biologists, immunologists, virologists, epidemiologists, analytical chemists, and toxicologists.

The aim of this chair is to attract outstanding world-class researchers whose accomplishments have had a major impact in their field.

, including toxicological approaches in the context of the exposome.

Indicators - Evolution of the Chair

Beyond scientific production, the evolution of the chair holder will be evaluated according to the following criteria: international networking, grant securing, training by research and supervision, innovation and teaching activities.

In addition to this regular follow-up, in-depth annual evaluation will be carried out to ensure that, at the end of the 3-year period, the chair holder will be appointed to a permanent position of University of Rennes Professor.

Toxicology, analytical chemistry, cellular biology, molecular biology, molecular epidemiology, exposure sciences, in silico analysis (QSAR and/or docking methods)

Main Activities:

  • Mechanistic studies on the toxicological effects of environmental contaminants using experimental models _in vivo_ (mice, zebrafish, etc.), _in vitro_ (human organoids, stem cellderived models ) and/or in silico (QSAR and/or docking models)
  • Integration of human exposome data to improve prediction for the human health

Associated Activities:
