Description
Reporting to the Senior Lecturer within the academic department of the institute and in close collaboration with all the program coordinators, the academic coordinator assists the department with the following missions:

  • Ensures continuous and transversal support to the academic team in the delivery of services to all education programs,
  • Implement and monitor the creation, renewal and enrichment of educational resources for initial and continuing training diplomas,
  • Actively collaborate in the logístical operation of the pedagogy of the various training courses,
  • Actively contributes to the establishment of internship agreements and administrative follow up with students during their internships.

KEY ROLES

  • Ensures continuous support to the academic team in the delivery of services by keeping up to date on activities and programs, implementing and monitoring the creation, renewal and enrichment of educational resources for initial and continuing education degrees, collaborating in the logístical operation of the pedagogy of the various training courses, evaluating and enhancing all of the institution's educational formats and resources. Confirms priorities and timeframes; organizes work accordingly,
  • Ensures liaison between program coordinators, teaching chefs, students' admission and academic planning and contributes to transversal collaboration,
  • Under the supervision of the Senior lecturer and Academic director, facilitates the development of academic quality assurance documents for programs certification and qualification. Maintains updated records, reports on activities and oversight on action plans within the set timeframe,
  • Leads the launch, followup and processing of the results of the educational satisfaction survey of the lessons provided in the various programs of the Institut. Reports results, best practices and alerts to the academic sub committees and academic council,
  • Manages all external teachers' contracts writing, ensures the invoices are aligned with the amount of teaching hours according to the program's contents, liaise with the Finance team for payment,
  • Prepares and leads information meetings on the educational tools of the Institute's diplomas (examination procedure, tutoring, online resources),
  • Administrative, logístical and pedagogical support for the organization of internship defenses and student projects (planning, link with teachers and students),
  • Leads and updates the industries database for students internships,
  • Contributes to the preparation of written diploma exams,

PROFILE

Education:
Undergraduate university degree (licence, bachelor or equivalent)


Experience:


  • At least 3 years' related experience
  • Experience in the educational sector (Schools, University, Institute, etc.)
  • Strong skills in French and English (writing and speaking)

Soft skills:

  • Excellent planning, organizational and priority setting skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability as well as the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong autonomy and team partner behaviour
