    Are you looking for an opportunity to support the life-cycle design, installation, qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and optimization of packaging and manufacturing equipment? If so, this is the role for you.

    As Controls and Instrumental Engineering Staff you will be responsible for providing electrical engineering services to buildings, facilities, and plants. You will also perform as a subject matter expert on electrical aspects of equipment.

    This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Ensure day to day activities align to GSK standards and regulatory requirements
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning production equipment and pharmaceutical processing equipment
  • Maintain audit ready department ensuring documentation and data integrity
  • Provide support for production equipment changeover, process improvements to change efficiency, reliability, and improve equipment run time
  • Ensure compliance through timely and accurate completion of preventive maintenance work-orders and supporting documentation
  • Train operators, operational technicians and mechanics on the principles of operating equipment, and troubleshooting
  • Participate in creating and revising standard operating procedures and equipment knowledge assessment forms
  • Maintain awareness and expertise in production equipment design, optimization, and maintenance
  • Identify efficiency gaps and provide solutions to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain the hardware and software required to interface with all equipment, and changing processes for easier troubleshooting and upgrades
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors while performing work on-site
  • Ensure employee health and safety and compliance regulations are met
  • Train coworkers on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Conduct cross training and mentoring with the mechanics

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification
  • 5+ years' experience with production processes and equipment
  • 5+ years' experience in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience in new equipment installation and validation
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Expert knowledge of programmable logic controllers
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience in a high-speed and regulated production and manufacturing environment
  • Proven technical competency in electrical and controls equipment design, optimization, and maintenance
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform analysis using Excel, maintenance management systems- M-ERPS/SAP
  • Software troubleshooting skills on programmable logic controllers, ability to perform software upgrades, capability to utilize both Siemens and, AB platforms
  • Good leadership skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
