- You will investigate and optimize how to represent the gas phase for use in COSMOplex surface tension
- You will research scientific literature, data preparation and curation
- You will validate solutions for COSMO-RS and COSMOplex theory and methods and propose enhancements and new solutions
- You will document and present the result to the company stakeholders
- You are working on your PhD or Master in Chemistry, Physical chemistry, Theoretical chemistry, Chemical engineering or similar areas and have finished your Bachelor
- You have programming or scripting skills in a language such as C, C++, Fortran, Python (Coding is not strictly required, but would be beneficial)
- You have basic understanding of Chemistry and Thermodynamics

We are currently hiring for an exciting opportunity as an Intern(m/f/d) -Researcher in Materials Science to join our BIOVIA Team.
BIOVIA is one of the leading scientific brand within Dassault Systèmes and we offer wide portfolio scientific software solutions ranging from life science over quantum chemistry to materials science. In our Cologne R&D team, we are currently developing a new technology to simulate complex liquid systems. Our COSMO-RS [1,2] based COSMOplex [3,4] technology offers an ab-initio based modelling of micellar systems, surfactant modeling and skim permeation and it has potential to simulate not only liquid-liquid and liquid-gas interfaces, but also liquid-solid interfaces.
