LuxCarta focuses on creating and delivering geospatial products for the global telecom, simulation & training and other vertical markets.
We specialise in the rapid production and delivery of quality fit-for-purpose mapping products to expert end users utilising the latest technology advancements achieved through extensive R&D Our customers are supported by skilled geospatial experts in their time zone through five corporate offices worldwide.
BrightEarth is LuxCarta's product line created using AI-enhanced production techniques.BrightEarth web services offer high-resolution building and tree extraction, 23-class land use/land cover (LULC) and digital terrain model (DTM) creation using various imagery sources in real-time.
It also incorporates a seamless cloud-free global mosaic, 23-class LULC, and time-of-day population maps derived from Sentinel-2 imagery at 10m, updated regularly.
Based on more than 30 years of geospatial and remote sensing expertise, these innovative products are ready for immediate download or accessible via APIs to support a system-level integration.
Main responsibilities:
As a web designer at LUXCARTA, you will be responsible for:
- Design attractive, intuitive and functional web layouts, considering customer and end user needs.
- Create mockups, prototypes, and visuals for websites using design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or equivalent.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure successful integration of designs.
- Optimise graphic elements for optimal web performance.
- Ensure brand and visual identity consistency across all digital media.
- Stay uptodate on web design trends and best practices to maintain the quality and relevance of our designs.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
- Degree in graphic design, web design, or related field.
- Previous professional experience in web design, ideally 35 of experience.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and web ergonomics.
- Ability to create responsive designs adapted to mobile devices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong portfolio of previous web design projects.
Additional assets:
- Knowledge of accessible web design (WCAG compliance).
- Animation or illustration skills.
- Experience creating visual content for social media.
- Understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
