Scope of the Role:


As part of the Global Patient Safety team, you will be our expert partner for medical information related questions within the department as well as for customers, national and international regulatory authorities.


In this role you will be working closely with the management team & internal stakeholders to update and develop the strategy for Medical information.


Main responsibilities

Medical Information

  • Create solutions and tools for medical information activities
  • Manage and oversight the call centre service provider
  • Setup & manage the operative part of medical information systems
  • Review documents such as Working Instructions, SOPs, Working Procedures, Templates etc. and organize associated training
  • Organize accurate and up to date medical responses to product enquiries from healthcare professionals and other Perrigo customers
  • Ensure that company's products are used safely and effectively
  • Answer medical enquiries and support with questions and answers including of Medical Information queries reconciliations mainly with Pharmacovigilance cases & PQC
  • Create & update frequently asked questions (FAQs) on major products while ensuring medical/scientific accuracy
  • Review provided local answers to medical enquiries in the different countries
  • Escalate important issues as they arise to management and ensure adverse event and quality reporting, in compliance with Pharmacovigilance and Quality department guidelines.

Patient Safety

  • Participate to the literature review process and make sure that it is continuously aligned with the corresponding SOP.
  • Collect, manage & control of countries Literature log
  • Regularly validate the literature review criteria & key words provided by the service provider and work very closely with them to improve if needed processes
  • Ensure systematic and continuous quality control/check of the literature review outputs
  • Investigate potential signals (literature, database, safety documents)
  • Review SmPCs and PILs changes or updates
  • Write responses or contribute to the health authorities related safety enquiries

Experience Required:

Coming from a scientific, pharmaceutical or (bio)medical background (Master/PhD) you have 2-3 years of experience in Medical Information.

An experience in PV/Medical writing experience is a clearly plus as well as knowledge of relevant guidelines of drug safety is a plus.
