Created in 2006, Connection Events organizes professional events for the video game industry. The events take place in France, the United States and all around the world.


Game Connection is a Business convention dedicated to video game professionals, taking place twice a year in San Francisco and in Paris.


Due to a temporary increase of the workload, we are recruiting a "Exhibitor Relation & Customer Care Assistant" for a 6 months contract from June to November in order to assist the Operations Director and the Customer Care Manager.


Reporting to our Operations Director, you are in charge of relations with exhibitors and attendees for the upcoming Game Connection Europe, taking place in Paris on 2-3 November.


Our clients are very demanding international professionals from the video game industry, they attend our show to buy or sell games and/or services.

Our online matchmaking tool Let's Meet and our will and commitment to offer a great service are our main strengths.

You will mainly be involved in these aspects which is why having a deep sense of customer service and being fast on your feet are important skills for this position.


You will also take part and assist the Operation Director in the production of the event and be in contact with some of the event providers during your mission.


Tasks include (but not limited to):

Exhibitor Relation & Customer Care:

  • Main contact of the event registrants for all practical / operational enquiries, provide support for their specific needs (rentals, hotel, taxi, deliveries )
  • Assist the Operation Manager to have a good overview of the logistics aspects and process of the event
  • Send welcome packs to customers: Attendee guides, Let's Meet access, practical information.
  • Create and manage Let's Meet user accounts and help customers with its use if needed.
  • Exhibitor assets management: send the specification documents, follow up in order to get their material in time for production (logo, visuals, description ).
  • Coordination with the logistics, sales and marketing departments.

On-site support:

  • You will participate in Game Connection Europe (Paris, 3 to 4 November)
  • You will assist the team in handling several tasks such as holding the customer care desk, helping the Operations Manager to coordinate the exhibitor set up, helping customers with using Let's Meet.

Profile:

  • You are flexible and a fast learner.
  • You can handle stress.
  • You are fluent in both English and French (written and spoken), you value typofree, wellstructured sentences.
  • You are customer oriented.

Required skills:

  • English and French (required)
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word (required)
  • Some knowledge about the video game industry (not mandatory but nice to have)
  • Comfortable with online tools and systems (required)

Job Type:

This position is based in Lyon, on an hybrid model (part teleworking). 6-months contract to start June (CDD).
