- In his Alpha role, and for his/her clusters, the Lead Buyer is responsible for:
- Deploying Health & Safety local policies and procedures
- Managing his teams (daily management, GEDP process, salary evolution, evaluation ...).
- Participating to HR processes (career committee - succession planning ...) at his/her own cluster level
- Ensuring communications with cluster stakeholders at his own cluster level
- Defining Multi-year masterplan of contracts, yearly list of projects to be done by his buyers for his/her own cluster (annual Project Portfolio) and saving objectives
- Monitoring progress of projects according to plan for the buyers based in the cluster
- Negotiating or supporting negotiation of contracts, selecting suppliers
- Managing validation and signature process
- Monitoring spot order procurement process executed by team's buyers or by BCOE (partner in charge of low value spot orders)
- Processing with Users Claims with high complexity and impact
- Evaluating efficiency of the team
- In his Alpha role, and for his/her cluster, the Lead Buyer also participates to:
- Monitoring and evaluation of supplier panel of sub-category
- Information of users about contracts
- Definition and execution of contract deployment plan
- Deployment of EPO improvement projects (tools, processes...)
- Certification audits (ISO, safety, environment ...)

Industrial Services & Spare Parts covers 10% of this spend being present in 5 countries (Spain, Germany, France, Poland, Belgium).
About the role
Based in Avilés, the Lead Buyer plays a dual role for the Purchasing of Maintenance & Repairs services:
- local role (Alpha): Manage a team of Buyers located in France to purchase services for Cluster AM France. Regular travels to keep a relationship at the level of the one with Cluster AM France (Florange, Montataire, Desvres...)
- transversal role (Beta): identify with the cluster Lead User the benchmark activities within the hub to transfer them across Europe (TCO, supplier panel, process management...).
Key Responsibilities
Your profile
You hold a master's degree in economics, Engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain.
You have a Successful track record in Procurement or Engineering department with about 5 years of relevant procurement / engineering experience and people management experience.
As a genuine buyer, you have problem-solving and analytical skills and a good ease facing numbers.
You have a good technical knowledge of contracts and targeted systems but also in project management and negotiation.
With a technical background, you are able to discuss on technical topics as well as implement and manage the change
You combine a strong personality/leadership and communication skills with an appetite for finding information on innovative industry.
Result and Customer oriented, you are able to work under deadline pressure.
On top of French, you are fluent in English. Any additional European language is appreciated.
