- have cross activities with Thermal Modeling engineer, Abuse Modeling engineer to optimize battery design.
- use CAD/CAE tools (for example, Hyperworks) and Finite Element explicit solvers (for example, Radioss or LSDyna).
- contribute to the activities related to implicit modeling (non-linear static analyses and/or vibrations) by using implicit solvers (for instance, Optistruct).
- define the full set of material mechanical properties needed to proficiently and effectively carry out the calculations.
- also support Solid State Batteries conception.
- manage external Research cooperation on their field of expertise.
- participate in cell and module validation activities.
- have to present results of his studies internally and to customers.
- Perform mechanical explicit dynamic simulation at pack, module and cell level.
- Support mechanical fully non-linear static simulation at pack, module and cell level.
- Support mechanical vibration simulation at pack, module and cell level.
- Able to coordinate characterization test. Data Interpretation and data analysis.
- Advise on test set up (sensors placement, boundary conditions, interaction with V&V department)
- Correlate models vs reality to improve company experience
- Manage internal and external projects, contracts, while collaborating with internal teams (R&D, Industrialization, Projects, Simulation, ...).
- Manage collaborations with suppliers, customers and strategic partners.
- Contribution in the company roadmap.
- Be up to date to the state of the art on its topic of expertise.
- Support Intellectual Property monitoring and propose innovative patentable concepts.
- Contribute to the development and to the consistent application of standards (tools, methodologies, good practices,...) for mechanical modeling
- Mechanical explicit dynamics modeling (crush/crash/shock)
- Theoretical knowledge of static fully non-linear simulations and vibrations
- Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes
- Knowledge on various analytical methods commonly used in simulation

- Basic skills in any standard programming language (C++, Fortran, Matlab, Python, Java,...)
- MSc with 3 years of experience or PhD with thesis
