Brown-Forman Corporation, one of the largest American-owned spirits and wine companies, announced that it will distribute its own brands in Belgium and Luxembourg effective January 1, 2022.

These 2 markets combined are the 7th largest EU market for Standard+ Whisky in volume.


In that context we are looking to reinforce the Finance team, based in France, with a Financial Analyst position in charge of the sales controlling.


A key function of the role will be to provide analytical support and managing reporting to the Benelux Sales team.

This will include providing reporting to the Commercial team, enabling them to make informed business decisions, increase effectiveness and efficiency and better execute their commercial strategy.

You will work closely with the FP&A Manager and establish effective and trusted business partnering with Brown-Forman Benelux's Key Account Managers.

This position requires approximately 5% of time traveling in Belgium.

What You Can Expect


Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Validate the monthly Stripped Net Sales and analyze the main effects
  • Analytical support by preparing meaningful and actionable reporting
  • Revise all component of the Stripped Net Sales (trade agreements, discounts,) during the budget or forecasting periods in collaboration with the KAM and the Sales Director
  • Profitability analysis on product and customer level
  • Financial modeling to support the KAM with their annual negotiation and with their daily commercial management.

Pricing & Promotions Strategy:

  • Manage the customer rebates and promotional invoices, ensuring customer invoices are validated
  • Responsible for helping the FP&A Manager drive forward the pricing and promotions strategy in the Benelux along with the Sales Director.
  • Build Price Structure for the Marketing or Sales teams to support innovations launch

Financial Tools:

  • Verify that all customers are properly setup and included in the correct hierarchy
  • Ensure timely and accurate setup and change of rebates in the SAP system
  • Maintain all financial tools (SAP & Kams budgeting tool) with accurate information.
  • Check consistency of the financial data of your perimeter of responsibility and fix the issue If needed in collaboration with the other departments (accounting, finance, IT )

Assist Finance Manager with Tasks as Needed:

  • Support the set-up of the Belgium RTC project
  • Support the other member of the Finance team during the maternity leave of the Marketing Finance Analyst
  • Adhoc request
What You Bring to the Table

  • Education: Bachelor
  • Certifications: Finance
  • Experience: Significant experience in Finance controlling (significant apprenticeship or first professional experience)
  • Prior experience in Wine and Spirits or Luxury FMCG industries will be interesting
  • Exposed to sales problematics in previous experiences will be very appreciated
