Job Description Summary:

This person will be responsible to answer European and USA tender offers for Marshalling Harbour function to support the company commercial activity within the challenging renewable energy business.


The Marshalling Harbor department operates within the Project Management Office, in parallel with activities of Installation, Transport, Commissioning, Planning and Risk Management.


Missions of the Marshalling Harbour are to receive and collect the Wind Turbine Generator ("WTG") components from the factories, to handle and store them, to carry out the necessary preservation, pre-commissioning and pre-assembly, and to prepare WTG components at quayside for the load-out on-board the Wind Installation Vessel.

This person will be part of Project Management Office (PMO) - within the Intent To Order (ITO) department.

This person should have excellent communication skills, proactivity, and a good logistic and industrial construction knowledge.


Cette personne aura la charge de répondre à des appels d'offres Europe/USA pour la fonction Marshalling Harbour afin de soutenir l'activité commerciale au sein du secteur des énergies renouvelables pour GE Renewable Energy.


Les missions du département Marshalling Harbour sont:

  • recevoir les composants de l'éolienne des usines,
- les transporter et de les stocker en respect des règles HSE et de Qualité de la société,
- procéder à la conservation, à la mise en service préliminaire,
- procéder au pré-assemblage des sections de tours, et enfin de préparer à la mise à quai/ du chargement à bord du navire d'installation.


Le département Marshalling Harbour (ou zone d'Installation portuaire) opère au sein du Project Management Office, en parallèle des activités d'Installation, de Transport, de Commissionning, de Planning et de Gestion des risques.

Il / elle fera partie du Project Management Office (PMO) - au sein du département Intent To Order (ITO).


Il / elle fera preuve d'une excellente communication, de proactivité et d'une connaissance du domaine de la logistique et de la construction industrielle.


Accountable for the technical solution proposed within the quotation: lifting equipment selection, pre-assembly harbour suitability and hub layout drawings.

Provide timely and competitive Marshalling Harbor logistics and pre-assembly quotes (including lifting equipment and manpower), updated throughout global commercial bid lifecycle.

Optimize costs and technical solutions.

Develop workable logistics strategies that include forecasting, market and infrastructure analysis and ensure proposed costs are accurate and competitive.

Identify project specific risks analysis and mitigation plans in collaboration with Risk Manager

Develop logistics service providers and port authorities' network in target countries to optimize costing and technical solutions for the project.

Work with Sourcing department to issue quotations.

Influence contract terms and conditions, resulting in optimized logistics solutions minimizing overall execution risk hence preventing downstream margin erosion.

Perform contract reviews with customers and provide contract language which protects internal financial performance.

Collaborate with Commercial and Sales teams to schedule, perform and maintain port audits in targeted countries.

Participates on project Early Works.

Perform technical and budgetary hand-over of the Marshalling Harbor work package between ITO and OTR.

Collaborate with all other PMO functions to enhance relationships, share best practices, and drive common execution improvements.

Maintain the monitoring tool for the activity and performance of the department's commercial offers.

Participate in reviews aimed at reducing project execution costs for the department's activity.

Establish a strong market analysis related to the Marshalling Harbour to make strategic decision.

Propose process improvements to optimize safety, quality and or cost reduction; special attention shall be focused on HSE.

Bachelor's Degree (from an accredited institution or equivalent experience) in commercial and/ or logistic and/or mechanical

Significant experience with managing logistics for large global projects and a commanding knowledge of Port operations and Cranage
