Working with industry stakeholders, Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore encourages the adoption of more sustainable technologies and aims to reduce the environmental impact of the maritime industry.
Our French Plan Office (FPO) located in Saint Herblain is responsible for verifying the compliance of ship plans according to current regulations.
Your role will consist of:
- Examine plans for the structure, stability, and freeboard plans of all types of vessels or inland navigation vessels under construction in France and abroad, while being the direct point of contact for the Design Offices and Shipyards,
- Conduct technical studies and support the Bureau Veritas network for ships in service.
- Contribute to the development and validation of Bureau Veritas regulations, as well as support the operation of the network of local offices for plan approval (providing assistance and training).
You will contribute to large-scale projects aimed at decarbonizing maritime transport, such as ships with a hybrid propulsion (hydrogen, methanol, etc.).

With a higher education degree in naval architecture (engineering school / university), you have at least 5 years of experience in the naval field that have allowed you to become familiar with standards and regulations.
Your adaptability, rigor, and appetite for new technologies will be assets to succeed in this position.
Your proficiency in English enables you to communicate with our network and clients both orally and in writing.
