A few words about us
At Nutropy, your job will consist in:
- Design, plan, execute and analyze different experiences in the food science pipeline hand-in-hand with your supervisors and colleagues, working both autonomously and in collaboration
- Develop and optimize different food ingredients and products for recombinant protein and molecule valorisation
- Identify bottlenecks and redesign processes accordingly
- Develop and conduct analytical assays designed to elucidate the biochemistry of caseins colloids / micelles in relationship to their behavior and functionality in cheesemaking
- Identify and qualify ingredients and their suppliers for formulations
- Perform experiments at lab scale and conduct product characterization, in particular texture analysis, rheology and QC in order to improve performance, stability and shelflife
- Orchestrate and oversee in house and external sensory panels
- Manage a rigorous lab notebook, write SOPs and maintain logs of product batches
- Prepare and present results with statistical analyses, conclusions and technical recommendations to your supervisors and the team
- Contribute to IP generation
- Manage and mentor junior team members
- Collaborate with the different departments
- Collaborate with external labs for product characterization
- Perform literature searches when necessary and propose innovative solutions
- Maintain equipment as well as laboratory inventory, consumables and solutions
- Undertake any other activies as needed by the business
Skills we are looking for
Education & Experience:
- Graduate degree in food science, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry or similar relevant tracks
- A previous experience in a lab (public or ideally private) doing food product R&D, ideally with similar responsibilities
- Ideally, handson experience with food colloids and cheese or other fermented (dairy) products or vegan alternatives
- Ideally experience with DOE, data visualization and analysis
- Speak English professionally, ideally speak some French
