    Airbus offers you a work-study contract covering both your training at the Airbus Cybersecurity School (in partnership with Ynov Campus, Toulouse) and your apprenticeship at Airbus.

    This opportunity is open only to students who have completed their Bachelor: Cybersecurity analyst in the aeronautical sector (Bac +3) with the Airbus Cybersecurity School and who wish to pursue their academic journey for an additional two years with the Master's degree programme (RNCP certification level 7).

    Airbus Cybersecurity School

    Airbus offers you the opportunity to follow a comprehensive and immersive cybersecurity in aeronautics work-study apprenticeship programme, which means alternating between being a student of the Airbus Cybersecurity School and being part of our operational teams (Digital & IM, Corporate Security, etc.).

    Your apprenticeship

    An apprenticeship offer entitled "Apprentice in AFDX security (M/F)" has just opened within Airbus Commercial Aircraft on its Blagnac site.

    You will join the 1IVPA - AC Security Architecture & Programmes department in charge of defining the overall security strategy and architecture of the aircraft and monitoring the fleet's risk status.

    This apprenticeship will consist of studying the security properties of AFDX.

    This apprenticeship will start in September 2024 and will last for 2 years.

    Tasks and responsibilities :

    You will be supervised by your Airbus tutor who will help you develop your skills by working on the following activities:

    • Perform a theoretical study of AFDX security
      • AFDX stands for Avionics Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet (also ARINC 664). It is a data network based on Ethernet technology, patented by Airbus.
      • This technology is embedded our aircraft and allows communication between safety-critical systems
      • The goal of the analysis is to identify the benefits of AFDX for security.
    • Identify penetration test needs if any and write the related Laboratory Test Request
    • Associated documents will be written in English and English speaking stakeholders need to be consulted
    • You have the following knowledge and skills:
      • Understanding of security stakes
      • Ability to adapt to the specificities of aircraft environment
      • Team spirit: identify issues and proactively raise questions to the tutor and other team members
      • Willingness to work in a transnational team

    Key deliverables:

    • Laboratory Test Requests (LTR)
    • Test Report Analysis proofreading forms (PRF)

    Competences & prerequisites:

    You have completed your Bachelor: Cybersecurity analyst in the aeronautical sector (Bac +3) with the Airbus Cybersecurity School.

    Hard skills

    • Knowledge of administrating operating systems (Windows and/or Linux): Not mandatory
    • Knowledge of operating system hardening (Windows and/or RedHat Linux): Not mandatory
    • Knowledge of administrating networks LAN/ W-LAN/ WAN equipment and LAN/ WLAN / WAN services (Switch, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Router, VPN): Basic
    • Knowledge of managing network security (Firewall, VPN-Gateway, Proxy, Probes): Not mandatory
    • Knowledge of Cloud computing, solutions and architecture (AWS, Azur): Not mandatory
    • Knowledge of Project management (Waterfall, Agile, Kanban): Not mandatory
    • Knowledge of programming and / or scripting (SQL, C, C++, PHP, JavaScript, Python, VBScript, powershell/Bash): Not mandatory
    • Knowledge of SecDevOps platforms (Github): Not mandatory
    • Knowledge of a selection and/ or administration of the Security tools (Encryption: SafeGuard Easy, PKI Management ; Monitoring: Mcafee): Not mandatory
    • Knowledge of how to capture and manage an organisation's, system's and/or product's key security risks and compliance: Not mandatory

    Soft skills

    Language skills

    • English: advanced (as the classes are taught partly in English, candidates must have an advanced level of English)
    • French: fluent
